My Experience and Thoughts on Spectrum.
Awarded in 2014 as "Manila's Best Hotel Restaurant" in the Manila's Best Kept Restaurant Secrets Awards. Fairmont Spectrum or Raffles Spectrum depending on which side you're checked-in, has always had a tranquil atmosphere just like the hotel itself. Spectrum's selection may not be as diverse if compared to Sofitel's Spiral in Manila, it's their excellent food quality, impeccable service and calm surroundings is where Spectrum defines itself among other hotel buffets in Manila. With a high waiter to customer ratio it's no surprise their service is the definition of luxury, coming back to your table is always perfectly set-up with the table napkins neatly folded and your preferred drink (fresh fruit juice or shake) refilled without even mentioning it. The Chef periodically offers you freshly baked pizza and various treats. To sweeten things even more the live honey display with possibly the best honey you can find in Manila. Overall Spectrum is very service oriented and thats a good thing, you'll always feel special.
Their Dinner buffets offers a wider selection of food with the Carving Station offering; Rib-eye steak, suckling pig, duck, and the roasted lamb chops which was exceptionally tender and juicy. The Desserts Station offers their in-house gelato with various flavours with English Toffee being favourite.
