French Macarons by Ladurée from France are now available in Manila. Bright and colourful interiors made my experience an eye-opening one. I came with a mission to assess the value of paying 3 to 4 times more than TWG Tea's macarons which are already good.

The chart above is just a crude comparison between the 2 places I go for Macarons in Manila. Value is subjective and varies from person to person, in my opinion and experience TWG Tea is my cup of tea. I get to sit down and enjoy their macarons right away instead of just buying them from the store and leaving excited and/or anxious for the macarons. Ladurée's macarons are tastier and finer in texture than TWG Tea's but when compared to an already good product it's hard to justify the triple premium. Another way to look at it, is you don't have to fly to France anymore to indulge in one of the world's finest macarons.
